Michael Rider to unveil first Celine show in Paris

Celine’s new creative director, Michael Rider, will host his first fashion show for the brand on July 6 in Paris. The timing of this show falls between the Paris Men’s Fashion Week, which runs from June 24 to 29, and the Paris Haute Couture Week, scheduled from July 7 to 11. It is currently unclear whether the show will feature women’s wear, men’s wear, or both. Rider, who previously served as the creative director at Polo Ralph Lauren and spent a decade as the ready-to-wear design director at Celine during the Phoebe Philo era, is now overseeing all of Celine’s collections, including women’s wear, men’s wear, leather goods, accessories, and haute couture. This show also marks Celine’s official return to physical runway presentations. Under Hedi Slimane’s leadership, the brand primarily showcased its collections through digital presentations and often chose to operate outside the official fashion week calendar.
