Coty’s prestige beauty growth offset by Asia-Pacific decline

Coty Group reported its financial results for the first half and second quarter of fiscal year 2025. For the six months ending December 31, 2024, net revenue declined 1% to 3.341 billion, while operating income rose 17% to $506 million. In Q2, net revenue fell 3% to $1.669 billion, missing Wall Street’s expectations, with operating income up 13%. The Prestige Beauty division grew 2%, driven by Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America, but was affected by weakness in Mainland China and Asia-Pacific travel retail. The Mass Beauty division saw a 6% decline, primarily due to losses in body care and color cosmetics. Regionally, the Americas experienced a 7% drop, while EMEA grew 2%, and Asia Pacific fell 11%.
