Puig’s Q4 sales soar 14.3% on strong fragrance demand

Puig, the Barcelona-based fragrance and beauty company, reported a 14.3% rise in Q4 sales to 1.36 billion euros ($1.42 billion), exceeding analyst expectations. Strong holiday demand for prestige perfumes, which account for 73% of Puig’s annual revenue, helped offset weaker results in its makeup division, where Charlotte Tilbury sales declined due to a temporary product withdrawal. Carolina Herrera’s Good Girl became the top-selling women’s fragrance in the US for the first time. Full-year sales grew 11% to 4.79 billion euros ($4.99 billion), surpassing forecasts and outpacing the global premium beauty market. Unlike larger rivals Estée Lauder and L’Oréal, Puig benefited from lower exposure to China’s slowing demand, with most of its revenue coming from Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas.
