Xiaohongshu sees 8.1 times growth in new merchants in 2024

On January 13, Xiaohongshu E-commerce released data highlighting impressive growth over the past year. The number of new merchants joining the platform surged by 8.1 times, while the number of merchants with annual sales exceeding 100 million RMB increased by 3.3 times. Those with annual sales surpassing 50 million RMB grew by 4.6 times. Merchant-hosted livestream sessions also saw a significant boost, rising by 3.3 times, and livestreams with a single-event GMV surpassing 1 million RMB grew by 3 times.

In addition, transaction volumes from livestreams across various industries experienced remarkable growth. Womenswear rose by 3.6 times, trendy sportswear by 4.5 times, apparel, shoes, and bags by 3.6 times, home furnishings by 7.1 times, food and supplements by 5.3 times, beauty and personal care by 3.9 times, cultural and jewelry items by 5.2 times, parent-child living by 9.2 times, and hobbies and interests by 6.5 times.
