Hong Kong secures visa-on-arrival agreement with Saudi Arabia

On January 14, Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee addressed the media before the Executive Council meeting, delivering an opening speech outlining key developments. He announced that the Hong Kong SAR government has reached an agreement with the Saudi government, under which, starting January 15, holders of Hong Kong SAR passports can obtain a visa-on-arrival at designated entry points in Saudi Arabia. This includes a multiple-entry visa with a maximum stay of 90 days.

In his speech, Lee also highlighted plans to enhance Hong Kong’s international connectivity, reinforce its position as a global financial, shipping, and trade hub, and leverage its strategic role in both the “Belt and Road” initiative and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area development.
