Jonathan Anderson wins Designer of Year at British Fashion Awards
The British Fashion Council held its Fashion Awards ceremony in London, where Jonathan Anderson won the Designer of the Year Award for the second consecutive year. Several awards had been announced in advance, including Tom Ford receiving the Outstanding Achievement Award, Remo Ruffini of Moncler being honored with the Pioneer Award, and other winners revealed that evening: Grace Wales Bonner received the British Menswear Designer Award, Simone Rocha won the British Womenswear Designer Award, and Stephen Jones was named British Accessories Designer of the Year. Alex Consani was named Model of the Year, A$ap Rocky received the Cultural Innovator Award, Issa Rae was honored with the Pandora Change Maker Award, and Gucci’s Creative Director Sabato De Sarno was presented with a Special Recognition Award.
