Descente revenue climbs 7% YoY as China sales grow

Descente Group reported a 7% revenue increase to 62.8 billion Japanese yen ($422 million) and a 10% rise in net profit to 6.24 billion yen ($42 million) for the first half of the year, driven by the yen’s depreciation and strong global sales of its Descente and Umbro brands. China has become a key growth market, with revenue surpassing 5 billion RMB ($680 million) in 2023. Descente’s golf brand Munsingwear and outdoor brand Wild Things are also expanding in China.
