Italy’s Casa Curiel, a century-old fashion house, has opened a flagship store in Beijing at the China World Mall. The store, inspired by the La Scala Theatre, integrates retail, dining, cultural experiences, and community engagement. To mark the opening, the store is exhibiting six haute couture pieces designed by the brand’s second-generation heir, Gigliola Curiel, in the 1950s. It is also showcasing the new SS25 Atelier collection, created in collaboration with designer Matteo Thiela. Additionally, the new Curiel Salon space in Beijing, inspired by European salon culture, continues the tradition of hosting cultural gatherings, with fine dining prepared by a Michelin-starred team and a private VIC Lounge displaying the brand’s historical archives and collectible books.
