China and the Solomon Islands have signed a mutual visa-free agreement to strengthen diplomatic ties and boost tourism, allowing citizens of both countries to travel seamlessly for short-term tourism. Signed on November 7, by Solomon Islands Foreign Minister Peter Shanel Agovaka and Chinese Ambassador Cai Weiming, the agreement is expected to enhance cultural exchange and economic cooperation. This agreement is part of China’s broader effort to expand its visa-free policy, which will also apply to countries like South Korea, Norway, Finland, Denmark, and others starting November 8. The Solomon Islands, known for its stunning biodiversity and tropical beauty, will now be more accessible to Chinese tourists, who previously needed to apply for a visa.
