Yohji Yamamoto’s K11 store gets underground makeover
Yohji Yamamoto has relocated its store at Hong Kong’s K11 Musea to a newly designed two-story unit, five years after its initial opening. The redesign, by Tokyo firm Oso, takes inspiration from the concrete and steel structures found beneath the city’s skyscrapers. The new store features large structural beams and exposed elements like concrete, ventilation ducts, and utility pipes. Upon entering on the second floor, shoppers find a minimalist space with a trapezoidal metal display rack. Accessories are showcased upstairs, while the latest Yohji Yamamoto and Yohji Yamamoto Pour Homme collections are displayed on sleek racks below.
