Alibaba launches Tao app for Japanese cross-border shoppers
Alibaba’s International Digital Commerce Group launched a new cross-bordere-commerce app, Tao, aimed at the Japanese market, on October 31. The app features Japanese customer service, a user-friendly interface, delivery and return guarantees, multiple payment options, and product recommendations. Currently, Tao offers over 3 million products across various categories to cater to Japanese consumers. Alibaba International has established Taobao Japan Co to improve service delivery. The Tao app partners with major Japanese courier companies to ensure safe product delivery and provides a 40-day free return policy.
