Chinese livestreamer sells 1M pairs of men’s trousers

A female livestreamer in China, known as “High-end sister,” has sparked debate on social media after becoming the top seller of men’s clothing on Douyin. She has sold over one million pairs of men’s trousers. Her sales strategy focuses on providing “emotional value” by creating an immersive, fantasy-like experience where male customers feel like successful tycoons. In her livestreams, she dresses as an elegant secretary and markets affordable trousers as essential for successful men, often filming in luxurious settings and using stunts to highlight product features. Despite the low price of 158 RMB ($22), her tactics have proven highly successful.
