Calvin Klein parent PVH faces China probe over Xinjiang cotton
China’s commerce ministry yesterday announced an investigation into PVH Corp, the parent company of Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, for potential violations of market trading principles related to products from Xinjiang. The company is required to submit documentation and evidence within 30 days regarding any “discriminatory measures” concerning Xinjiang products over the past three years. The ministry also stated that PVH is suspected of “unjustly boycotting” Xinjiang cotton and other goods “without factual basis.”
