Chinese jeweler Laopu Gold eyes Singapore, Tokyo expansion
According to sources from BA Capital, Laopu Gold plans to expand to other Asian cities, such as Singapore and Tokyo, in the coming years. Earlier this year, Laopu Gold opened its largest single store to date, a flagship store over 1,000 sqm in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. The company’s international expansion is supported by strong performance in its domestic market. The first interim report since its listing shows a revenue increase of approximately 148.3% YoY, reaching 3.52 billion RMB ($487 million), and a net profit rise of 198.8% to about 587.8 million RMB ($81 million). Lao Pu Gold focuses on traditional gold craftsmanship and employs a luxury strategy, targeting high-net-worth individuals.
