RealReal report highlights shifts in luxury resale trends

On August 21, luxury resale platform The RealReal released its seventh annual Luxury Resale Report, highlighting new consumer preferences for sustainability and uniqueness. The report reveals that nearly half of members use resale platforms to extend the lifecycle of luxury items, while over one-third of consumers prefer to buy fewer but more unique luxury items post-pandemic. Louis Vuitton tops the most-searched brands, followed by Chanel, Prada (first among Gen Z consumers), Gucci, and Loewe, with Miu Miu, Celine, Bottega Veneta, Dior, and The Row rounding out the top ten.
