According to sources, China’s leading fashion brand exchange and trading platform Dewu app released an internal memo announcing a confirmed layoff of approximately 5% of its workforce on August 7. As of the first quarter of 2024, Dewu had around 10,000 employees, meaning about 500 people will be affected. Additionally, Dewu has an outsourced team of around 10,000. The internal memo noted that while the Dewu app’s overall business continues to grow, the company is currently facing a challenging market environment. It stated that some branch projects have an imbalance between input and output, and inefficiencies in coordination and collaboration.
