Cathay Pacific carries 10.7M passengers in H1 as capacity grows 42.7%

In the first half of 2024, Cathay Pacific’s passenger revenue rose by 20% to HK$30 billion (3.85 billion), driven by a 42.7% increase in passenger flight capacity. The airline carried 10.7 million passengers, averaging about 59,000 per day, which is 36.4% more than in the same period in 2023. Despite this growth, the load factor dropped to 82.4% from 87.2% and the yield decreased by 11% to HK$0.689 ($0.088). Overall, Cathay Pacific’s total revenue for the period reached HK$44,784 million (5.76 billion), marking a 14% YoY increase.
