French cosmetics company L’Oréal announced on August 5 its acquisition of a 10% stake in Swiss skincare company Galderma. The financial details have not been disclosed. It is understood that both parties will focus on establishing a new scientific partnership dedicated to complementary research projects. This collaboration is expected to enhance the R&D capabilities of both companies in the skincare sector and promote the development of innovative products. Founded in 1981, Galderma owns skincare brands such as Cetaphil and medical brands like Epiduo and Soolantra, operating in approximately 90 countries and regions worldwide.
