BYD is set to challenge local rival VinFast in Vietnam with an aggressive expansion of its dealership network, opening 13 new stores there this week and aiming for around 100 by 2026. The company will start with a three-model lineup, including the Atto 3, which will increase to six models in October. Although all BYD vehicles will initially be imported, the company is negotiating to optimize plans for a local factory, which has seen delays. The Atto 3 will start at 766 million dong ($30,300), higher than VinFast's VF 6.
