Gucci closes Wuhan store after four years of operation

Gucci has closed its Wuhan Heartland 66 store in China after about four years, as part of wider retail consolidation. The brand still operates two other Wuhan locations at Wushang Mall and Wuhan SKP. Parent company Kering continues to face pressure, with 2025 sales down 13.03% to €146.75 billion ($170.8 billion) and Gucci sales falling 22% to €5.99 billion ($7.0 billion). New CEO Luca de Meo is pursuing efficiency measures, including store closures, as retail density in Asia reaches saturation.
