Authentic Brands Group has announced a leadership transition, with founder Jamie Salter stepping down as CEO to become executive chairman and company president Matt Maddox taking over as President and CEO. The move is designed to prepare the platform for an initial public offering, which Salter anticipates within the next 12 months. Maddox brings extensive public company experience from a 20-year career at Wynn Resorts. Salter will focus on long-term strategy and M&A, targeting $100 billion in enterprise value over five years. Founded in 2010, Authentic manages over 50 brands — including Reebok, Champion, and Brooks Brothers — generating approximately $38 billion in annual retail sales.
