Apple cuts iPhone 17 Pro price to record low for China’s 618 shopping festival

Apple launched its “618” promotion on Tmall and JD.com on Friday, slashing iPhone 17 Pro prices by up to 2,000 RMB ($294) through combined platform discounts and government subsidies to a record-low 6,999 RMB ($1,029), while the standard iPhone 17 fell to 4,499 RMB ($662). While Apple’s website maintains premium pricing, the channel-specific discounts across the iPhone 17 lineup and latest wearables aim to sustain sales momentum following Apple’s record iPhone revenue quarter of $57 billion. By leveraging trade-in schemes and interest-free financing, Apple continues to dominate global bestseller lists and solidify its lead in the high-end smartphone market.
