Nike has launched its inaugural Air Works design initiative, gathering eight emerging creatives from cities including Beijing, Shanghai, London, Los Angeles, Mumbai, New York, Paris, and Tokyo. Held May 11-14 at Nike’s Beaverton, Oregon campus, the program gives participants access to the brand's archives, Sport Research Lab, and design teams to develop original 3D-printed Air Max concepts in partnership with Zellerfeld. Each designer will release a limited friends-and-family edition of their shoe ahead of Air Max Day 2027, with community activations in their home cities. The inaugural class comprises Diya Joukani, Jose Wong, Marc Su, Masyn, Hatsuki Motoi, Omi, Tasnim Chowdhury, and Yams.
