LVMH is considering the sale of several fashion, beauty, and drinks brands in one of its most significant strategic pivots in nearly 40 years. According to sources, the group is weighing disposals including Marc Jacobs, its 50% stake in Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty, and US winery Joseph Phelps Vineyards — moves that could net billions of euros. Recent disposals include Off-White, the Greater China arm of DFS, and a 49% stake in Stella McCartney. Refocusing on core profit drivers Louis Vuitton and Dior, LVMH is also reportedly reviewing Make Up For Ever, Fresh, Eminente rum, and newspaper Le Parisien, while mulling a minority stake in Armani. LVMH declined to comment.
