Unilever’s Q1 sales beat forecasts on beauty demand

Unilever reported first-quarter underlying sales growth of 3.8% on Thursday, beating expectations of 3.6%, driven by strong demand for home care and beauty brands including Dove and Vaseline. The Beauty and Wellbeing division posted 3.6% growth, fueled by strength in Dove, Vaseline, and prestige labels including Dermalogica and Paula’s Choice. Personal Care grew 3.7%, led by deodorants and skin cleansing. CEO Fernando Fernandez kept 2026 forecasts unchanged as he continues rebuilding Unilever around personal care and beauty, following the spinoff of its ice cream business last year.
