China’s Anta Sports returns to India with 10-store plan
Anta Sports is re-entering the Indian market next month with a store in Gurugram, New Delhi, marking a comeback after more than five years following a closure amid deteriorating bilateral relations. Ten stores are planned across India by March 2027, with apparel priced at around 8,000 rupees ($85) and footwear at 9,000-10,000 rupees ($96–$106), positioning the brand in the premium segment. Local partner Brandman Retail cited Anta’s rising global profile and improving Indian perceptions of China as key drivers for the re-entry.
