Puma names new wholesale VP as losses mount

Puma has named Bertrand Blanc to the newly created role of VP global wholesale, effective May 1. Blanc, who brings over 25 years of experience including senior roles at Asics, Nike, and most recently Wilson Sporting Goods, will report to chief commercial officer Matthias Baeumer and develop global sales strategies for key wholesale accounts. The appointment follows Laurent Fricker’s naming as VP of the sportstyle business unit and James Carnes joining as SVP of creative direction last week. The moves come as Puma works to reignite growth after reporting a Q4 2025 sales drop of 20.1% to 1.56 billion euros ($1.82 billion) and an 8.1% annual sales decline to 7.29 billion euros ($8.51 billion).
