Saucony has announced Chinese singer-songwriter Cai Xukun as its new brand ambassador, coinciding with the relaunch of its Kinvara 1 sneaker. The Kinvara 1, originally launched in 2010 as a minimalist running shoe inspired by the barefoot running movement of Mexico’s Tarahumara people, returns with its lightweight EVA midsole and 4mm heel-to-toe drop in bold new colorways. A pop-up with Harmay runs at its Shanghai Wukang Road location through April 26. The shoes launched globally on April 20. Cai has 38.78 million Weibo followers.
