Hong Kong’s Q1 arrivals rise 17% YoY to 14.31M

Hong Kong welcomed 14.31 million visitors in Q1 2026, a 17% YoY increase, the Hong Kong Tourism Board announced on April 15. Mainland Chinese visitors accounted for 11.08 million of the total, up 20%, driven by major events and Chinese New Year promotions. In March alone, arrivals reached 4.35 million, up 14%, with a higher proportion of international travelers drawn by Art Basel Hong Kong and Art Central. Long-haul market visitors grew 19% to 990,000, supported by steady air capacity growth and the arrival of multiple international cruise liners.
