Tapestry, the American luxury group behind Coach, Kate Spade, and Stuart Weitzman, has appointed Matt Madrigal, chief technology officer of Pinterest, to its board of directors. The appointment brings the board to 11 members, 10 of whom are independent. CEO Joanne Crevoiserat said Madrigal’s expertise will help drive the group’s “Amplify” growth agenda and build connections with younger consumers globally. Madrigal oversees engineering, product, and design at Pinterest, which reaches over 600 million monthly active users. Prior roles include VP at Google and chief technology and product officer at Fanatics.
