Hermès announced the opening of its new flagship store in Beijing on April 2, 2026, marking the brand’s fourth location in the capital. Located in the vibrant Sanlitun district, the store blends local cultural heritage with Hermès’ creative spirit, offering an immersive space to explore the house’s 16 métiers.
Designed by RDAI and Mamou-Mani Architects, the five-story building features a rose-pink and terracotta ceramic façade, allowing natural light to flood the interiors. The store’s open-plan layout centers on a grand stone staircase, guiding visitors through distinct sections showcasing the brand’s iconic collections, including silk, equestrian items, fashion jewelry, ready-to-wear, and leather goods. Artworks by local artists, including Liu Jianhua and Tong Ren, further enhance the experience.
Drawing inspiration from the nearby Forbidden City, the design blends traditional imperial architecture with modern artisanal craftsmanship, creating an environment that shifts in mood and character as visitors move through its levels. The uppermost floor opens onto a landscaped terrace, providing a serene escape in the heart of Beijing.
