EssilorLuxottica has acquired a significant ownership stake in Top Charoen, Thailand’s largest optical retail chain, as part of a new strategic partnership. Top Charoen operates more than 2,000 stores nationwide. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Thailand already serves as a strategic hub for EssilorLuxottica’s global manufacturing and operations. The partnership aims to expand access to vision care services and advance the wearable category across the region. Founded in 1947, Top Charoen operates multiple banners, including Luxoptic, Eye Class, and Eye Sport, alongside an e-commerce platform.
