Scottish designer Christopher Kane has been appointed creative director of Mulberry, with his debut women’s ready-to-wear show set for September — the brand’s first catwalk presentation since February 2017. A four-time British Fashion Award winner who founded his eponymous label with sister Tammy Kane in 2006, Kane has dressed Michelle Obama and Rihanna among others. His career includes work with Donatella Versace and collaborations with Topshop and Self-Portrait. The debut collection arrives in stores in January 2027. Mulberry, founded in Somerset in 1971 and known for the Alexa and Bayswater bags, faced global layoffs in 2024.
