Salomon has signed Chinese trail running athlete Shen Jiasheng to its elite Team Salomon, the brand announced on March 25. Shen, one of the first Chinese athletes to surpass 900 ITRA points, joins after six years with The North Face. He won the Hong Kong 100 Ultra Marathon in 2019 and placed second in the CCC group at UTMB in 2023, setting a new record for Chinese competitors. Salomon will support Shen across equipment, training, and race logistics. The signing is part of the brand’s China push, which includes the Golden Trail Series and a 842,000 RMB ($122,000) prize pool for domestic elite runners.
