Burberry has launched a rainwear collection marking its 170th anniversary, reimagining the Kensington and Fitzrovia trench coats and Camden coat with lighter silhouettes in stone, pale pink, and graphite gray. Central to the range is gabardine — the breathable, water-resistant fabric invented by founder Thomas Burberry in 1879 — reinterpreted as a lighter tropical version for warmer climates. New silhouettes include the cropped Mayfair Trench and the Bloomsbury, a refreshed Harrington jacket. All pieces are produced at the brand’s Yorkshire factory with the signature check lining.
