Puig names 1st non-family CEO in over 22 years

Puig has appointed José Manuel Albesa as CEO, the first non-family executive to lead the Spanish luxury group in over 22 years, effective immediately. Marc Puig, who held the role for 22 years, transitions to executive chairman as part of a long-planned succession strategy. Albesa, who joined in 1998 and previously served as deputy CEO, oversaw the group’s beauty and fashion divisions, including repositioning Rabanne. In 2025, Puig reported net profit of 594 million euros ($685.9 million), up 11.9% YoY, with revenue surpassing 5 billion euros ($5.77 billion).
