British fashion brand Self-Portrait has appointed Chinese actress Cecilia Liu as its global brand ambassador. Liu, who has over 34 million Weibo followers, is a Beijing Dance Academy graduate who rose to fame with Scarlet Heart in 2011, winning Most Popular Actress at the China TV Golden Eagles. She has since starred in A Journey to Love and Zhang Yimou’s Under the Light, and serves as global ambassador for Celine, Qeelin, and Omega. Self-Portrait was founded in London in 2013 by Han Chong and operates 84 stores across Greater China.
