China outlet malls surge during 2026 Spring Festival

China’s outlet malls recorded robust sales during the 2026 Spring Festival holiday, with major operators reporting double-digit growth. Capital Outlets attracted nearly 10 million visitors nationwide, with the Beijing location surpassing 300 million RMB ($41.3 million) in sales. Shanshan Outlets reported 46% overall growth, with its Jinzhong location exceeding 500 million RMB ($68.8 million), up 52%. Bicester Village Shanghai and Suzhou both set new records, with international tax refund transactions up threefold. Florentia Village achieved over 30% foot traffic growth across seven locations, with sales up 14%.
