Louise Trotter’s 2nd Bottega Veneta collection explores brutalism
Louise Trotter presented her second collection for Bottega Veneta at the brand’s Milan headquarters, exploring the tension between brutalist architecture and intimacy. Tailored pieces with rounded shoulder lines opened the show, followed by loose trousers and wrap skirts suspended from thick belts using bag construction techniques. As the show progressed, material experimentation took precedence. Double-breasted coats appeared in matte crocodile skin, fringed woven leather, and heavy velvet embossed to resemble astrakhan lamb.
