Acclaimed handbag designer Johnny Coca joins Saint Laurent from Louis Vuitton
Johnny Coca, the acclaimed handbag designer known for his focus on leather goods, has reportedly joined Kering-owned Saint Laurent. Coca left Louis Vuitton in November after more than five years as director of women’s fashion leather goods and accessories. Coca first rose to prominence at Celine under Phoebe Philo, where he served as head design director for leather goods from 2010 to 2015. He later spent five years as creative director of Mulberry before returning to Louis Vuitton. A trained architect and designer, Coca also worked at Bally from 2004 to 2010.
