BMW Group has appointed Christian Ach as its new President and CEO for Greater China, effective April 1, 2026. He will succeed Sean Green, who is returning to the group after a decade in China. Ach, currently President of BMW Germany, is a sales veteran credited with boosting EV sales in his home market. His key challenge will be reversing BMW’s recent sales decline in China, its largest single market. Sales fell to 625,500 units in 2025, down from a 2023 peak of 825,000. His priority will be launching over 20 new models in 2026, including a China-specific long-wheelbase BMW iX3.
