Chanel has named Elisabetta Caldera, former global chief human resources officer of Dutch insurer Aegon, as its new global chief people and organization officer, effective next month. The 55-year-old executive will succeed Claire Isnard, 64, who is retiring after more than 17 years at the luxury group. Caldera will join Chanel’s leadership team in London, reporting directly to CEO Leena Nair. She brings over four years of experience as global CHRO at Aegon and previously spent 17 years in various HR roles at Vodafone Group. The appointment is part of broader leadership restructuring under CEO Nair as Chanel navigates a generational transition. The privately owned company disclosed a 4.3% decline in 2024 revenue to $18.7 billion, with operating profit falling nearly one-third.
