South Korean fashion label Musinsa Standard will open its first Chinese store on December 14 at Shanghai’s Parkson Shopping Center on Huaihai Road. The 1,300-sqm flagship is the brand’s first overseas location and its third-largest globally. Operated by Korean platform Musinsa, the brand — often called the “Korean Uniqlo” — offers apparel, beauty, and home products under its “New Standard” slogan. Its Chinese expansion follows a successful Tmall debut in September, which reportedly generated 2.6 million RMB ($358,000) in sales within its first two weeks. The move is backed by Anta Sports, which acquired a 1.7% stake in Musinsa this year.
