China-US flights maintain 88.4% load factor in August
According to the latest data from the U.S. Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS), flights between China and the United States maintained strong demand in August, with an average seat load factor of 88.4% across all routes. During the month, airlines provided a total of 253,400 seats and carried 224,100 passengers between the two countries. A total of 18 routes connected 8 Chinese cities with seven U.S. destinations. The Shanghai Pudong-Los Angeles route was the busiest, carrying 37,538 passengers, with service provided by China Eastern, Delta, and United Airlines. Two routes achieved full capacity at over 95% load factor.
