Apple’s smartphone sales in China surged 37% YoY in October, capturing 25% of the market — its highest monthly share since 2022 — according to Counterpoint Research. The strong performance was driven by the iPhone 17 series, which accounted for over 80% of Apple’s China sales during the month. This helped the Chinese smartphone market grow 8% YoY in October, boosted by National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival demand. In the premium segment (phones above RMB 6,000), Apple leads with 51.1%, while Huawei holds 30.7%. Supply chain data indicates Q4 output is projected to reach 79 million units. While iPhone 17 contributed to Apple’s record $102.5 billion revenue, Greater China revenue fell 3.6% to $14.5 billion.
