Apple posts record Q4, but China sales decline
Apple reported record Q4 revenue of $102.5 billion, an 8% increase YoY, with net profit jumping 86% to $27.5 billion. While all other regions showed growth, Greater China revenue declined 3.6% to $14.5 billion, marking the only regional sales drop. The iPhone 17 series drove a 6% increase in iPhone revenue despite limited sales contribution during the quarter. Mac sales grew 13%, while services revenue gained 15%. CEO Tim Cook attributed the China slowdown mainly to delayed iPhone Air launch, but projected regional growth next quarter. Apple forecast 10-12% revenue growth for the upcoming holiday period.
