China auto exports surge 21% in 1st 3 quarters
China’s automobile exports reached 5.71 million units in the first three quarters of 2025, a 21% YoY increase. New energy vehicle exports surged 52% to 2.32 million units, with Mexico and the UAE surpassing Russia as top destinations. Belgium and the U.K. remained core importers of Chinese NEVs, while the Middle East and Southeast Asia emerged as high-growth regions. Plug-in hybrid exports exploded 208% to 690,000 units, becoming a new growth pillar. Despite volume gains, the average export price fell to $17,000, reflecting Chinese brands’ expanded influence across market segments.
