China’s auto market achieved record September results with production and sales reaching 3.276 million and 3.226 million units respectively, maintaining double-digit growth for the fifth consecutive month. Analysis shows traditional manufacturers generally outperforming. Geely leads with over 72% completion after raising its target, while SAIC and BYD both exceeded 70%. Among new energy vehicle makers, XPeng achieved the highest completion rate (over 80%) with 218% YoY growth, followed by Xiaomi Auto at approximately 73%. Most other NEV manufacturers remained below 50% completion. Industry experts project continued market strength through year-end, driven by competitive new model launches.
