Hang Lung reveals strong Golden Week sales
Hang Lung Properties has for the first time disclosed National Day Golden Week sales figures, seen as attempting to restore market confidence. During the October 1-4 holiday period, the company’s Hong Kong portfolio saw visitor traffic increase 4% YoY, with Peak Galleria surging 26%. On the mainland, overall foot traffic rose 3%, with Wuxi Center 66 and Wuhan Heartland 66 both exceeding 20% growth. Mainland malls drove tenant sales up approximately 15%. Wuhan Heartland 66 and Shanghai Grand Gateway 66 saw tenant sales increases of about 70% and 50% respectively, representing strong rebounds from previously weak performance.
