Hermès launches rural artisan support program

Hermès has announced its support for the China Foundation for Rural Development through the “Rural Artisan Empowerment Program,” dedicated to preserving traditional embroidery techniques. To mark the launch, Hermès unveiled the limited-edition Harnais de Cœur charity scarf, created by artist Daiske Nomura. Inspired by a historical plate from the Emile Hermès collection, the design portrays a shy couple bound by intricate harnesses. Only 750 scarves will be available across Hermès boutiques and official online channels in mainland China. All net profits will fund the transmission of embroidery craftsmanship, community development, and cultural continuity. The project reflects Hermès’ enduring humanist values and philanthropic efforts to promote culture and craft.
